About Us

 Mr. Reason has spent the last 30 years being an advocate and mentor to the unemployed members of his  community. As Senior Job Development Specialist for the County of Los Angeles, he has helped countless participants in the County’s welfare to work programs gain viable employment. His valuable experience has helped many participants change their lives by moving from subsidy to self – sufficiency. Malik is an alumnus of Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR.  

Malik received his post graduate legal training at Kaplan University and later at Florida International University. Staying ahead of the law’s frequent changes is Mr. Reason’s sixth sense. Malik is an aggressive, zealous advocate for his clients; however, caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith are the core values that he has instilled in all at The Reason Group, those are the values that guide all that we do.  

Edwin is dedicated expanding access to employment, stability, and opportunity for individuals facing systemic barriers. Serving as VP of Business Operations, he leads organizational operations, strategic partnerships, and program execution to ensure measurable, mission-driven impact.

Edwin brings 19 years of executive leadership experience as a manager for the Los Angeles County s GROW Program. Throughout his career, he has maintained strong relationships with elected officials, business leaders, and community organizations, serving as a trusted liaison to connect funding, employment opportunities, and critical resources to the populations he served.

He is a graduate of Cal Poly Humboldt University, where he also contributed to efforts that helped secure funding for the University’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and Student Support Services (SSS).

Edwin’s leadership has been recognized by the California State Legislature, LA County Supervisors, regional mayors, and civic organizations, reflecting his longstanding commitment to service, accountability, and community-centered solutions.
